Are you wondering which Early Childhood Program is best for your child, or whether or not your child is ready to go to school?
At Hillsdale Community Schools, we have several options for young children:
1. All Day Kindergarten
2. Paving the Way Preschool (full day- Monday through Thursday, housed at Bailey Elementary School)
4. Early Childhood Special Education (half day)

Attending Kindergarten Roundup in the spring (or in August before school starts) with your child will also give you an opportunity to have your child screened by a teacher. That teacher will then speak with you and help you to decide what option might be best for your child.
WHAT ARE SOME GREAT THINGS ABOUT ALL-DAY KINDERGARTEN?

A full day gives your child more time to work on building academic skills such as letter/sound identification and numbers.

Your child gets the benefit of a full day of structured, intentional lessons and guided play acitivities.

A full day of kindergarten provides your child with interaction with both peers and teachers.

Some families need a full day placement because both parents work outside the home.
